It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Lynaun Mortenson, who tragically died on Saturday following a motor vehicle accident in Colorado. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, especially her children, and to all who were touched by her kindness, strength, and love. Her son, Branlon, was also involved in the accident and is thankfully recovering at home from minor injuries.
Lynaun was a remarkable woman—compassionate, loving, and endlessly strong. She devoted herself to her family and inspired everyone around her with her unwavering support, wisdom, and encouragement. She guided her children to be their best selves, always offering love, guidance, and a steady hand through life’s challenges. Her nurturing spirit, resilience, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched. The family is grateful for the outpouring of thoughts, prayers, and support during this profoundly difficult time.
A viewing will be held at Ashley Valley Funeral Home in Vernal, Utah, on Friday, March 27, from 6 to 8 PM, with a second viewing at Rock Point Chapel, 2575 N 1500 W, on Saturday, March 28, from 9 to 9:45 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10 AM.
Though her passing leaves the world a little darker, Lynaun’s love and strength will continue to guide and inspire her family. As she always said, “When you stumble, make it part of the dance.” May her family find comfort in her memory, and may her spirit live on through the values, courage, and compassion she instilled in those she loved.
Lynaun Mortenson will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
